A Word on Linguistics

A Word on Linguistics is designed with the objectives of meeting the preliminary needs of students interested in linguistics. Furthermore, the book is an attempt to provide a brief-and-easy collection of essential terms common in Linguistics. A Word on Linguistics helps students to develop their knowledge and understanding of Linguistics; is particularly helpful for trainee teachers; and meets the needs of students getting prepared for entrance examinations.

Nima Shakouri is currently a Ph.D. candidate of TEFL at Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch, Tehran, Iran. He has taught English courses for over a decade at different universities. His research interests concern SLA, SL/FL teaching methodology, and linguistics. He has published nationally and internationally.
